Man Utd chief John Murtough must grant Solskjaer’s transfer wish after Young Boys defeat

Wan-Bissaka’s display at Wolves was an anomaly this term, as his incredible goal-line clearance at 0-0 was part of a solid showing.

He was ineffective against Leeds United, poor against Southampton and uninspiring against Newcastle United.

His nightmare in Bern was the most worrying performance, though, and concerns over his overall quality are starting to grow.

Wan-Bissaka has the chance to bounce back with a strong showing at West Ham United on Sunday, which will be a tough test against Pablo Fornals or Said Benrahma.

But either way, Murtough must act in January to solve one of Solskjaer’s problem areas.
